OVEN & STOVE ISSUES

WON’T TURN ON

For an electric stove will not start, check if the stove is plugged in and that all circuit breakers are switched on. You should check the pilot light on gas models. If the oven is plugged in and the pilot light is lit in the oven, that means a different part will have to be replaced. The reason for the problem could be the surface element, infinite switch, oven igniter or bake and broil element.

OVEN WILL NOT HEAT

A stove or burner with no heat won’t do much good. An oven won’t heat if there’s a broken oven sensor or a malfunctioning bake element. Your burner will not ignite if an element breaks or if the burner switch or terminal block don’t work. We know how to repair these issues in no more than 1-2 hours after we arrive.

PROGRAM ISSUES

You can assume the control board on a stove or oven is broken if the timer or program functions don’t work. If that’s the case, we can replace control panels on LG, Sears, GE, Kenmore, KitchenAid and most other brands and models of ranges, stoves and ovens. OVEN TEMPERATURE IS VERY HOT

You always need a hot oven. Just not too hot! When the oven heat is out of control, it could be due to a problem with the thermostat or sensor. Our repairmen can identify the reason for the issue and then repair it. Always be careful if troubleshooting this problem for fear of skin burns from the high and unpredictable heat.

IGNITER DOESN’T LIGHT

A reoccurring stove problem is times where an igniter glows but it will not light. The reason this occurs is from either a broken electronic control, surface igniter, safety valve or temperature sensor. We are able to determine whether we are able to repair these parts or if we will have to replace the parts.

DOOR WON’T OPEN

Newer self-cleaning models of ovens sometimes experience door issues. The door does not open after the cleaning cycle. We inspect the door closure, seal and thermostat to figure out why the door won’t open up and then complete the necessary repair so we can fix the problem.
